Shipping Policy



We know when our customers order anything, they usually need it as fast as possible. Therefore, we are committed to begin processing your order as rapidly as possible.

However, as we are a rurally based company, our preferred carriers are unable to collect from us and we are required to deliver all shipments to their respective Mount Maunganui depots for dispatch. As the carrier's depots are some 30 minutes drive from us, we only deliver bulk lots of dispatch items to the couriers twice per week (Mondays and Thursdays).
Note: This policy does not apply to large shipments as Mainfreight Transport will collect these from us.


All goods are shipped subject to the Contracts and Commercial Law Act 2017, part 5, and where applicable the various exemptions from that Act that may be applied by the terms and conditions imposed on us by our carriers. Therefore there are contractual time limitations to make any claims for shipped goods that are lost (undelivered) or damaged.

2.1 Lost (undelivered) goods: Any goods not delivered within 7 days of our notification to you that the goods have been shipped needs to be advised to us.

2.2 Damaged goods: All delivered goods must be inspected within 24 hours of delivery for damage, and immediately notified to us. We will not accept liability for damage that is not notified in a timely manner (within the contractual notification times of the carriers).


Size limitations apply to some carrier services which will determine the carrier we may use to ship your purchases.

3.1 Aramex Couriers: Maximum physical size: 1200 mm x 2200 mm (maximum cubic dimension 0.15 m3)
Where the address for delivery is considered by Aramex Couriers as rural, the New Zealand rural post size limitations apply.

3.2 NZ Post Rural Contractor: Maximum physical size of package (not the contents): 1200 mm x 1500 mm (subject to local variations in application).

3.3 Mainfreight Transport: depot to customer service: Maximum physical size: 1530 mm x 2400 mm. (The maximum size we can fit in our van to deliver to the depot.)

3.4 Mainfreight Transport: Door to Door service: Maximum physical size: 3000 mm x 6000 mm.


As a general rule we will ship your order to you anywhere in New Zealand for no additional cost when you order $100.00 or more in goods. However, there are some exceptions to the general rule that relate to:
1.) Oversize rural delivery,
2.) Large canvases.

4.1 Rural delivery: Canvases and other goods shipped to a rural address that exceed the New Zealand Post Rural Delivery criteria (1200 x 1500 mm) will need to be shipped with Mainfreight transport, or alternatively you can provide us with an alternate non-rural delivery address. Additional shipping costs may apply to rural deliveries with Mainfreight Transport.
Aramex "drop points" In a number of locations around New Zealand, Aramex couriers have "drop points" which are local businesses that have an agreement with Aramex couriers to function as a package delivery/pick-up point. We have utilised some of these facilities successfully and they can be an alternative means to ship oversize packages to rural areas. You will however need to arrange collection of your order from the drop point.

4.2 Oversize Goods: Oversize goods are those goods that are too large for handling by our regular courier network (Aramex Couriers and NZ Post Rural Delivery contractors.) Oversized goods will be shipped by Mainfright Transport. Unfortunately there are very large variables in calculating the costs of shipping around New Zealand. While in many instances their will be no additional shipping costs, some locations, especially rural destinations can be quite expensive. We will assess each delivery and advise whether there are any additional shipping surcharges/costs associated with ensuring your goods are delivered to your chosen destination.
